Job summary

BW Design Group in Portland, OR seeks a Senior Controls & Automation Engineer to lead projects and drive regional growth. You will design electrical control systems, program PLC/HMI, and coordinate with clients, engineers, and partners to deliver solutions.

You will mentor professionals, help set annual plans, and collaborate with recruiting to build the team. Travel to project sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years delivering automation solutions for industrial clients.
• Experience designing electrical control systems and automating processes.
• Proficiency with Rockwell hardware and software.
• Willingness to travel for project work.

Responsibilities

• Lead controls and automation projects and support business growth.
• Collaborate with clients and technical teams to deliver automation solutions.
• Manage proposals, estimates, schedules, and resources.
• Grow local/ regional controls and automation business and maintain client relationships.
• Mentor technical professionals and support career development.
• Develop annual vision plans and assist strategic planning for the group.
• Partner with recruiting to hire controls and automation professionals.
• Provide quarterly reporting to office and regional partners.
• Coordinate with finance for accurate reporting of group activities.
