Job summary

Ambience Healthcare is seeking a Controller to build a scalable accounting function. You will own the monthly close, internal controls, accounting policy, tax compliance, treasury, and the external audit, partnering with the VP Finance to shape financial strategy.

This is a hands-on, build-from-scratch role for setting the standard for trustworthy books at a high-growth company. You will lead cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Deal Desk, People, and Product to adapt accounting for new

Qualifications

• 8+ years progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years in Controller/Assistant Controller at high-growth or venture-backed company.
• Deep U.S. GAAP expertise including ASC 606 and stock-based compensation.
• Experience leading external audits and building internal controls.
• Proven ability to scale close processes and select accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Own U.S. GAAP-compliant financial statements and monthly close.
• Manage external audit, documentation, controls, and reconciliations.
• Establish accounting policies: revenue recognition (ASC 606), expenses, capitalization, leases (ASC 842).
• Oversee indirect tax compliance across multi-state SaaS nexus; coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Manage treasury ops: cash management, disbursements, bank relations.
