Parkland Properties of Michigan, a real estate development and holding company, is seeking a second dedicated controller to execute the executive team's strategic vision while ensuring GAAP compliance and robust financial reporting across communities and corporate entities.

• Establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with GAAP and best practices.
• Partner with executive leadership, operations and real estate teams to support growth initiatives and capital allocations decisions.
• Develop strategies with CEO/COO and other controller to ensure financial resources for goals while mitigating risk.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and working capital optimization.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for communities and corporate entities.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and property management reporting standards.

Responsabilidades

• Establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with GAAP and best practices.
• Partner with executive leadership, operations and real estate teams to support growth initiatives and capital allocations decisions.
• Develop strategies with CEO, COO and other controller to ensure financial resources needed to achieve goals while mitigating risk.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and working capital optimization.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for communities and corporate entities.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and property management reporting standards.
• Manage lender, investor and regulatory reporting, including debt covenant compliance.
• Coordinate year end audits, tax preparation, and ensure timely filings.
• Monitor and manage the Profit and Loss statements for each property and ownership account.
• Oversee organizational budgeting, accounting and cash management to ensure accurate reporting and long-range planning.
• Prepare annual consolidated financial statements.
• Establish and maintain controls to safeguard assets.
• Manage cash flow and real estate development capital needs.
• Review potential acquisitions with leadership.
• Review key legal agreements related to financing and construction loans.
• Coordinate requisitions for real estate development projects.
• Oversee capital allocation decisions for acquisitions and developments.
• Create financial models to assess feasibility and profitability of investments.
• Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Other assigned tasks.
