Job summary

JP Management LLC, a private real estate investment and property management firm, seeks an experienced Real Estate Controller to lead accounting, FP&A, and operations finance for its multifamily portfolio. You will report to ownership and collaborate with property management teams, outside CPAs, tax advisors, and senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Approximately 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial experience, with significant real estate exposure.
• Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Controller experience in real estate owner/operator, developer or property management familiar.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and FP&A for multifamily portfolio and management entities.
• Oversee year-end financial reporting, audits, and lender examinations.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures.
• Coordinate cash-flow forecasting, budgeting, and liquidity planning.
• Provide ownership with consolidated and property-level reporting on NOI, occupancy, and variances.
