Job summary

Jobot seeks a detail-oriented Financial Controller to direct all accounting operations for a residential real estate development portfolio in South Florida. You will oversee full-cycle accounting, job-costing, and construction loan administration with strong GAAP discipline.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of accounting/finance experience in residential real estate development
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience with construction accounting, project finances, GAAP, budgeting, and cost control
• Strong written and verbal communication and critical thinking

Responsibilities

• Direct full-scale project accounting workflows (AP/AR, job costing, compliance, reporting, month-end close)
• Lead monthly close procedures and financial statement verification
• Supervise job cost accounts and ensure capitalization per budgets
• Review vendor bills, change orders, lien releases, and draw schedules for contract alignment
• Prepare construction loan draws with lenders and internal teams
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses; advise on mitigations
• Monitor liquidity and funding timelines; collaborate across teams
• Partner with construction management and asset managers for fiscal visibility
• Maintain strong internal controls and standard accounting practices
• Support CFO with financial modeling and strategic initiatives
