Job summary

CEC Entertainment, LLC in Irving, Texas, seeks an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations across the United States and Canada, ensuring GAAP compliance and guiding a multi-location team of 20+ accountants, payroll and AP staff. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in accounting/finance, is CPA active, and brings expertise in real estate lease accounting (ASC 842/IFRS 16) and membership-based revenue.

You will work with the CFO on internal controls, audits, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years progressive accounting/finance experience in a Controller or senior leadership role.
• CPA active and in good standing.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; Master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 20+ accountants, payroll and AP staff.
• Direct all day-to-day accounting operations and close cycles (GL, month/quarter/year-end).
• Oversee payroll, AP, AR with strong controls and compliance.
• Oversee real estate lease accounting per ASC 842/IFRS 16.
• Ensure US GAAP and Canadian standards compliance (cross-border).
• Partner with CFO to maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate external audits and regulatory reporting in US/Canada.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual financial reports for execs and Board.
• Drive system/process improvements for multi-location growth.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis with FP&A.
