Job summary

Flyover Attractions is seeking a Controller to lead accounting operations for a multi-site hospitality-adjacent entertainment company. You will manage close cycles, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and partner with senior leadership to drive financial discipline and scalability across the US, Canada, and Iceland.

The role requires 10+ years of leadership in finance, CPA preferred, and experience with ERP systems. This is a hybrid position based in Chicago with travel as needed to regional sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Professional accounting designation strongly preferred (CPA, CA, or equivalent).
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in finance and accounting roles.
• Experience owning a monthly close process and leading multi-site accounting teams.
• Experience with ERP implementations and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes ensuring complete and accurate results.
• Prepare and consolidate financial statements per U.S. GAAP (IFRS where applicable).
• Deliver timely financial reporting to executives and the Board.
• Analyze results to identify unusual trends and accounting issues.
• Oversee general ledger, payables/receivables, payroll, assets, and month-end close.
• Build scalable systems and controls to support growth and new ownership.
• Lead post-acquisition systems transition and ERP optimization.
• Collaborate across operations, People Team, and leadership for decision making.
