Job summary

Synergy Search is recruiting an experienced Controller to lead the accounting consolidation for a newly established shared services office in the DFW area. The role focuses on owning the month-end close, financial reporting, and internal control processes across multiple locations.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in progressive accounting, multi-site oversight, and strong GAAP knowledge; CPA is a plus.

• Help build out standardized processes as the accounting function centralizes

A growing multi-site operator is centralizing its accounting function through a newly established shared services office in the DFW area, and is building out a team to support that transition. We're seeking an experienced Controller to help lead this effort.

What You'll Do

• Own the month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliation process for an assigned portfolio of locations
• Review and approve work prepared by Assistant Controllers and Accounting Managers
• Partner with operations and regional leadership to ensure accurate, timely financials
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes
• Help build out standardized processes as the accounting function centralizes

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-site/portfolio accounting (real estate, hospitality, retail, or healthcare industries a plus)
• Prior experience managing a team and owning close for multiple locations
• Strong GAAP knowledge; CPA a plus
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
