Job summary

CEC Entertainment, LLC seeks an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations across the United States and Canada. The role ensures GAAP compliance, manages a multi-location accounting team, and provides expertise in real estate lease accounting and membership-based revenue recognition.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in accounting/finance, a CPA, and proven leadership across dispersed locations. This role reports to the CFO and collaborates on policy, audits, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in accounting/finance with controller experience.
• CPA active and in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; Master’s preferred.
• Experience in geographically dispersed, multi-location org.
• Real estate lease accounting experience (ASC 842/IFRS 16).
• Experience with membership-based accounting and revenue recognition.
• Payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable leadership.
• Strong leadership and team development track record.
• Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel; cross-border exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 20+ accountants, payroll, and AP staff.
• Direct month-, quarter-, and year-end close; consolidate financials.
• Oversee payroll, AP, AR with strong internal controls.
• Manage real estate lease accounting; ASC 842/IFRS 16 compliance.
• Ensure US GAAP and Canadian standards for cross-border entities.
• Partner with CFO to set policies and internal controls.
• Coordinate external audits and regulatory reporting in US/Canada.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports for execs and Board.
• Drive system/process improvements for a multi-location org.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with FP&A.
