Job summary

Jaffa Management LLC. is seeking a senior, hands‑on Controller to own accounting, reporting, controls, audit, and tax coordination across a complex, multi-entity business. This high‑ownership role leads the close, works with outside providers, and builds a strong accounting function while growing the company.

The Controller will manage a small internal team, dive into detail, and strengthen policies and processes as the organization expands. Hybrid work in Clifton, NJ or Atlanta, GA is available.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting and controllership experience.
• CPA and experience in asset management, insurance, reinsurance, or complex financial services preferred.
• Experience with multi-entity reporting, close, audit, tax, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close, financial reporting, reconciliations, allocations, intercompany activity, and cash accounting.
• Coordinate audits, tax filings, regulatory reporting, and day-to-day relationships with auditors, tax providers, banks, brokers, administrators, and other outside partners.
• Prepare financial statements, management reporting, variance analysis, and commentary on material issues.
• Strengthen accounting policies, internal controls, processes, and systems.
• Manage and develop the accounting team while remaining hands-on.
