Job summary

Frederick Fox LLC in Del Mar, CA, is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee accounting operations and develop a five-person team. This new role supports the controller and coordinates with external auditors across multiple entities.

You will drive US GAAP compliance, manage close processes, and lead process improvements, including system integrations and intercompany accounting. Hybrid onsite/remote work is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Progressive accounting experience with team management.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, journals, accruals, reconciliations and reporting.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with timeliness and accuracy.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries and supporting schedules for completeness.
• Oversee accounting across multiple entities, including intercompany and consolidation.
• Coordinate external audits and serve as primary auditor liaison.
• Support integration of new business ops, processes, and systems.
