Job summary

CTDI seeks a Controller to oversee accounting operations for a portfolio of companies. You will manage the general ledger, close processes, and reporting, ensuring accurate information and strong internal controls. Collaboration with external partners and tax/compliance support are key facets of the role.

You will lead variance analyses, budgeting, and process improvements while mentoring staff. A CPA isn’t required, but 5–8 years of progressive experience with GAAP and multi-entity accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA designation preferred but not required.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with small businesses or multi-entity environments.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GL accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience managing accounting records for multiple entities or business units.
• Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools.
• Payroll, sales tax, income tax support, insurance audits, and banking relationships a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the general ledger, books, and records with accurate, consistent entries.
• Manage month-, quarter-, and year-end close, including journals and reconciliations.
• Prepare balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and other reports for each company.
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, schedules, and documentation across entities.
• Monitor cash, intercompany activity, AP/AR, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Develop internal controls to safeguard assets and reduce risk.
• Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, auditors, banks, and insurers as needed.
• Support tax filings, audits, registrations, and regulatory reporting.
