Jobot is seeking an experienced Controller in Chatsworth, CA to lead all accounting functions in a fast-growing, project-driven technology organization. The role oversees financial reporting, close processes and internal controls while guiding cost accounting, revenue recognition and contract profitability for government contracting programs.

The successful candidate will manage multiple accounting teams, drive process improvements, and coordinate audits and tax submissions in a dynamic on-site

Qualifications

• Experience leading a finance/accounting team.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, cost accounting and internal controls.
• Experience with government contracting, compliance audits, and project-based accounting.
• Excellent leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead monthly and annual financial close, reporting and variance analysis.
• Manage accounting teams across general accounting, billing, payroll and accounts payable.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and government contracting regulations.
• Oversee revenue recognition, project cost accounting, labor allocations and contract profitability.
• Coordinate financial audits, tax filings and cost submissions.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and support indirect cost rate development.
• Improve accounting systems, automating workflows and strengthening processes.
