Job summary

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an experienced Controller in Los Angeles to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and internal controls. You will lead month-end close, ensure GAAP compliance, and partner with executives to drive strategic financial decisions.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and a proven track record of building effective teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to partner with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll allocations, and fixed assets.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Provide budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate external audits and tax filings.
• Lead and develop accounting staff.
• Collaborate with executive leadership.
