Job summary

Metro West Housing Solutions, based in Denver, seeks a skilled accounting professional to support the Controller. The role focuses on GAAP compliance, fund accounting, and HUD-related reporting across multiple properties and HOUSING programs.

You will manage audits, budgets, and complex journal entries, while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. This position requires collaboration with auditors and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Five to ten years of professional accounting experience.
• HUD requirements and fund accounting experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Primary Finance point of contact for all Tax Credit and Housing Authority audits.
• Generate roll forwards and schedules for audits in Excel.
• Set up new Construction Projects in Yardi with funding sources, budgets, contracts.
• Process and monitor Construction draws, verify amounts, monitor loans and GLs.
• Close out WIP for GP/LP sides and dissolved partnerships.
• Run monthly financial reports and tie to tenant sub reports.
• Administer Company Credit Cards and manage card access.
• Set up, train, and support new users; add GL or Property Codes as needed.
• Reset passwords and monitor lockouts; monitor spending limits.
