Job summary

On Site Personnel is seeking a seasoned Controller to lead accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and payroll oversight in a fast-paced staffing environment. You will manage general ledger, close processes, and ensure GAAP compliance across multiple states.

The role requires hands-on leadership, experience handling high-volume payroll (500–1,000+ employees per week), and collaboration with executives on strategic financial decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
• 5 years of Controller or Assistant Controller experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software (QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Month-End Close.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to executive leadership.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Manage banking relationships, external audits, and financial reporting requirements.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls while identifying opportunities to improve financial processes.
• Oversee payroll accounting and payroll reconciliations.
• Partner with operations and executive leadership on strategic planning and financial decision-making.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
• Assist with workers' compensation reporting, payroll tax compliance, and multi-state accounting operations.
• Support accounting system enhancements and reporting automation.
