The ideal candidate will lead all core accounting functions, manage project-based accounting across multiple contracts, and ensure compliance with government contracting regulations. A CPA is a plus and the position aims to scale the accounting team for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus.
• 8+ years progressive accounting experience with leadership.
• Experience in engineering/manufacturing environments and GovCon.

Responsibilities

• Lead all core accounting functions: GL, month-end close, financial reporting.
• Oversee project-based accounting across multiple contracts.
• Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations and cost allowability standards.
• Manage indirect rates (fringe, overhead, G&A) and maintain accurate cost pools.
• Support contract structures including: Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) and Cost-Plus; cost control and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and develop a growing accounting team.
