Job summary

Jobot is hiring an experienced Controller for a heavy civil construction company in Panama City, FL. The role oversees all accounting, financial reporting, cash management, job costing, and operational finance functions.

This position partners with executive leadership to drive financial performance and growth, with Vista by Viewpoint experience strongly preferred. Key responsibilities include leading the accounting team, budgeting, forecasting, P&L and cash flow management, and ensuring GAAP

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting and finance experience with leadership responsibility.
• Heavy civil, marine, infrastructure construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting: job costing, WIP reporting, ASC 606 revenue recognition, cash flow management.
• Vista by Viewpoint experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting and finance team.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Deliver executive reporting packages including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, WIP schedules, and job cost analysis.
• Oversee job cost accounting, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition (ASC 606).
• Ensure GAAP compliance and tax regulations.
