Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Financial Controller with Deltek Costpoint and project-based accounting expertise for our Florida-based engineering operations. You will lead all core accounting functions and oversee government contracting cost accounting across multiple contracts.

Role involves building scalable accounting processes, ensuring compliance, and mentoring a small team. CPA a plus; 8+ years of leadership experience preferred; strong ERP and manufacturing cost experience welcomed.

Qualifications

8+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
Background in engineering and/or manufacturing environments is preferred.
Strong experience in government contracting (GovCon) and project accounting.
Experience supporting Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) and Cost-Plus contracts; hands-on build-out mindset.

Responsibilities

Lead all core accounting functions: GL, month-end close, and financial reporting.
Oversee project-based accounting across multiple contracts.
Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations and cost allowability standards.
Manage indirect rates (fringe, overhead, G&A) and maintain cost pools.
Assist in scaling and mentoring a small accounting team.
Collaborate with operations on manufacturing cost accounting, inventory, and BOM oversight.
