Job summary

Veilant Company seeks an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations for its System High subsidiary. You will oversee the integrity of financial reporting, the general ledger, cost accounting, internal controls, and government contracting compliance in a federal contracting environment.

The role reports to the SVP of Finance and requires deep technical accounting expertise with operational judgment, translating financial information for Veilant and System High leadership.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Significant US federal government contracting experience.
• Active CPA license.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead general ledger, month-end close, year-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement prep.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and government contracting standards.
• Maintain Deltek Costpoint and cost accounting systems; prepare for audits.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff; drive process improvements.
• Partner with leadership to improve accounting processes and scalability.
