Job summary

Health Quality Innovators (HQI) is seeking an experienced Controller to manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, monthly close and financial reporting, internal controls, contract billing, and audit coordination.

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance & Accounting, this is a hands‑on role for an accounting professional who is comfortable working across financial reporting, federal contracting requirements, budgeting, and Deltek Costpoint. The Controller has no direct reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience required.
• Minimum of three years of Deltek Costpoint experience required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close process and prepare financial statements.
• Review unbilled revenue, variances, and closing notes.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and inventory.
• Coordinate contract billing and monitor receivables.
• Participate in annual budgeting and variance analysis.
• Prepare incurred cost submissions and indirect rate requests.
• Coordinate external audits (DCAA) and Form 990 information.
• Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.
