Job summary

LeoForce seeks a seasoned accounting leader to own the GL, month-end close, and financial reporting for multiple government contracting projects. You will oversee project accounting across contracts, manage indirect rates, and ensure cost allowability.

In this hands-on role, you’ll partner with operations on manufacturing cost accounting, inventory, and BOM oversight while mentoring a growing accounting team and driving tighter internal controls and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus.
• 8+ years accounting experience including leadership.
• Experience in engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Strong government contracting (GovCon) background.
• Experience with project accounting and cost accounting.
• Experience supporting FFP and/or Cost-Plus contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead core accounting functions: GL, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Oversee project-based accounting across multiple contracts.
• Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations and cost allowability standards.
• Manage indirect rates (fringe, overhead, G&A) and maintain accurate cost pools.
• Support contract structures including: Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) and Cost-Plus.
• Partner with operations on manufacturing cost accounting, inventory, and BOM oversight.
• Evaluate and improve internal controls, processes, and reporting accuracy.
• Help scale and mentor a small, growing accounting team.
