Precise Software Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Associate Controller to support the CFO in government contracting accounting, close processes, and financial reporting.

The role emphasizes direct and indirect cost accounting, FAR cost principles, and accurate cost allocation across contracts. You will partner with finance, program management, contracts, HR, and operations to ensure timely billing, audit readiness, and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2-3 years in government contracting.
• Experience with GAAP, cost accounting, and billing.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support CFO with day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Assist monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare general ledger reconciliations and analyze variances.
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash activity.
• Assist with monthly financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Maintain audit-ready accounting records and documentation.
• Monitor contract compliance and cost allocations under FAR principles.
