Job summary

FastSpring is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead and modernize its global accounting function. You will own the monthly close, consolidation, and financial reporting, while guiding a small accounting team and partnering with Finance, FP&A, Tax, and Operations.

The role emphasizes strengthening policies, internal controls, and scalable processes as the company progresses through an ERP implementation and growth in multinational operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general accounting and financial reporting.
• Public accounting experience preferred with transition into corporate accounting.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge: GAAP, consolidation, complex transactions.
• Experience leading ERP implementations or process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Coordinate consolidations and prepare consolidated financial statements.
• Research and document technical accounting matters and support audits with external auditors.
• Support ERP implementation design, testing, and deployment and improve close processes.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff and collaborate with Finance, Tax, and Operations.
