Job summary

Purchasing Power, a part of PROG Holdings, seeks an Assistant Controller to lead accounting operations and develop our accounting team. Reporting to the Controller, this role drives the monthly close, strengthens internal controls, liaises with external auditors, and leads ERP modernization and automation across the organization to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.

This role requires a CPA with 13+ years of fintech/SAAS experience and a proven ability to scale accounting in a multi-entity

Qualifications

• CPA with 13+ years of progressive experience in fintech or SAAS.
• Experience with US GAAP and SOX; close processes and audit readiness.
• Proven leadership of accounting staff including managers.
• Experience with ERP enhancements or migrations.
• Familiar with AI-powered accounting tools and data analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial close & reporting; mentor and manage accounting teams.
• Design, implement and monitor internal controls; liaise with external auditors.
• Oversee ERP enhancements or migrations and drive automation initiatives.
• Support treasury functions as a backup to the Controller.
