Job summary

FastSpring seeks an experienced Assistant Controller to lead and modernize its global accounting function. You will own the monthly close, consolidation, and financial reporting, while guiding a small accounting team and driving ERP implementation and process improvements across Finance, Tax, and Operations.

You will ensure GAAP compliance, manage audits, and partner with cross-functional leaders on strategic initiatives. CPA and 5+ years of progressive accounting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general accounting and financial reporting.
• Public accounting experience, preferably in transition to corporate accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, consolidation, and complex accounting matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Coordinate ERP implementation including GL design and testing.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and investor reporting requirements.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team; partner with Finance, Tax, and Operations.
