Job summary

Emergency Care Management LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, and to support the Controller in building scalable accounting infrastructure. This role operates across multiple locations and supports growth through organic and acquisitive strategies.

The candidate should have a strong background in GAAP, month-end close, intercompany accounting, and tax coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including AR/AP.
• Prior supervisory experience managing accounting staff.
• Experience with ERP systems and close-management tools.
• Experience using AI tools in accounting to improve processes is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint; advanced in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close and year-end close processes with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage intercompany accounting and elimination entries.
• Maintain lease accounting records and close calendar.
• Assist with financial statement review and analysis.
• Coordinate external audits and tax compliance with advisors.
• Lead and develop accounting staff; provide escalation on complex questions.
