Job summary

fomo is seeking a hands-on Controller to build its accounting function from the ground up. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will own the integrity of financial records, establish scalable processes, and partner with leadership on strategic decisions, risk management, and capital planning.

The right candidate thrives in ambiguity, combines technical accounting judgment with practical implementation, and can shape the accounting organization as the company scales.

Qualifications

• CPA required (or equivalent international certification).
• Experience with US GAAP and financial reporting.
• 10+ years of accounting leadership in startups/fintech.
• Experience with crypto or digital assets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the month-/quarter-/year-end close, policies, and controls.
• Oversee general ledger, AR/AP, cash, payroll, and assets.
• Implement crypto-related data flows, reconciliations, and controls.
• Lead ERP selection, integration, and reporting.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and stakeholders.
