Job summary

Cardless in San Francisco, CA, is seeking an accounting-focused contributor to build and own the company’s accounting function. You will manage QuickBooks Pilot bookkeeping, oversee an offshore team for month-end close, and partner with the Finance Senior Director to scale our in-house financial reporting infrastructure.

This role suits a highly detailed, collaborative self-starter who can balance operational and technical accounting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, fintech/financial services preferred.
• 2+ years of end-to-end month-end close and full financial reporting.
• Experience with QBO, Netsuite, Bill.com or Expensify.
• CPA certification is required.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage AP, AR, and daily/weekly accounting operations.
• Oversee month-end close with QuickBooks Pilot and offshore team; ensure timely reporting.
• Own revenue recognition per ASC 606 and US GAAP.
• Lead annual audit and develop accounting policies and controls.
• Ensure proper processing of cash, payroll, stock compensation, inter-company.
• Lead implementation of Netsuite as we scale.
