Confidential Opportunity in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a hands-on Controller / Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, payroll, and financial reporting. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams in Finance, Operations, Merchandising, and Planning.

The ideal candidate has advanced NetSuite experience, a strong GAAP background, and a proven ability to automate processes using modern tools like Gusto for payroll.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Advanced NetSuite experience required.
• Experience with payroll and benefits administration using Gusto or similar.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting skills.
• Excellent Excel capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full accounting cycle including AP, AR, GL, and payroll.
• Administer and optimize NetSuite for reporting and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analyses with leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Finance, Operations, Merchandising, and Planning.
• Coordinate with external CPAs for tax filings and year-end reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls and automate reporting processes.
• Monitor expenses, inventory costs, gross margins, and profitability.
