Job summary

H2 Recruits, LLC is seeking an experienced Accounting leader to oversee financial reporting, internal controls, and fleet accounting for a data-driven rental business in the United States. The role focuses on GAAP compliance, monthly closes, and maintaining asset depreciation schedules for fleet equipment.

Leadership responsibilities include mentoring staff, refining systems, and aligning finance with operational performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Experience as Controller or Assistant Controller.
• Experience in equipment rental, construction, manufacturing, or asset-heavy industries strongly preferred.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and close packages.
• Manage general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules for fleet.
• Develop internal controls and accounting policies.
• Provide variance analyses and budgeting support.
• Lead and develop accounting staff.
• Coordinate data flow between rental systems and accounting software.
