Job summary

Fleet Landing CCRC is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting team, oversee accounting operations, and strengthen internal controls as the organization grows. You will develop staff, enhance processes, and advance automation while ensuring accurate financial information for Polaris Endeavors and its subsidiaries.

The ideal candidate will resolve complex accounting issues, coach team members, and help operational leaders understand financial performance.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years progressive accounting and financial management experience.
• At least three years in an accounting leadership role.
• Experience leading teams, process improvement, and system implementation or automation.
• Experience with external auditors and financial close/consolidation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting team with clear expectations and coaching.
• Direct financial close and reporting for multiple entities.
• Provide technical accounting leadership on GAAP issues and complex transactions.
• Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies enterprise-wide.
• Coordinate audit activities and Form 990/tax filings as needed.
• Partner with CFO on budgets, forecasts, liquidity, and covenant calculations.
• Oversee restricted funds and donor-restricted reporting.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to explain financials and enable decision-making.
• Lead process improvements, standardize workflows, and drive automation.
