Job summary

Flowcode is seeking a Controller to own daily accounting and shape finance operations. You will report to the CFO, drive reliable financial information, and build scalable processes in a lean team.

AI and automation will be central to your approach as you oversee the close, billing, compliance, and multi-entity reporting. This role offers significant ownership and growth across the finance function.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 or equivalent audit experience.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and SaaS/subscription revenue accounting experience.
• Experience owning a close and working with auditors.
• Experience applying AI and automation to finance workflows.
• Strong spreadsheet and financial systems skills; ability to turn incomplete data into action.
• Clear communication and ownership; collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own daily accounting, the close, GL, AP/AR, payroll accounting, and monthly reporting.
• Build scalable accounting policies, controls, documentation, and recurring processes.
• Lead technical accounting across revenue recognition, deferred revenue, equity compensation, multi-entity reporting, and capitalization.
• Improve finance systems and integrations to reduce manual work and support growth.
• Apply AI to reconciliations, reporting, collections, and analysis.
• Own billing and collections, resolve customer issues, and monitor cash flow.
• Manage audits and coordinate tax and compliance work with external advisers.
• Partner with the CFO on forecasting, budgets, monthly reporting, and board and investor materials.
• Work with Legal, Sales, and Operations on contract terms, billing arrangements, and approvals.
