Job summary

Trust & Will, a remote-first digital estate planning platform, seeks a seasoned Controller to steer accounting across the group. You will own month-end close, tax compliance, and the AP/AR cycle while shaping scalable internal controls and processes.

Lead audits, optimize the tech stack, and partner with FP&A on cost analysis and strategy. The role demands 10+ years in accounting, 4–5 years in a leadership position, and exposure to AI-enabled finance workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience with 4–5 years in a Controller or similar leadership role in a high-growth environment.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Proven track record in financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
• Hands-on experience applying AI or automation to accounting workflows.
• Experience designing internal controls for automated or AI-assisted processes.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting at Trust & Will and subsidiaries; manage month-end close and AP/AR.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to scale operations.
• Lead audits and ensure accuracy of accounts.
• Manage accounting tech stack and integrate with FP&A.
• Partner with CFO on cost analysis and planning; collaborate with FP&A.
• Oversee vendor relationships and policy compliance.
