Job summary

Trust & Will, a remote-first leader in digital estate planning, seeks a seasoned Controller to steer financial operations during rapid growth. You will lead the accounting team, own month-end close, tax compliance, and vendor management while implementing AI-enabled, automated workflows that improve efficiency and accuracy.

You’ll partner with the CFO and FP&A to analyze costs, drive strategy, and scale controls as the company expands across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience with 4–5 years in a Controller or senior leadership role in high-growth environments.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting at Trust & Will and subsidiaries, manage month-end close, tax compliance, and AP/AR.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to enable scaling.
• Lead audits and ensure accuracy of accounts.
• Manage and optimize the accounting tech stack; partner with FP&A to keep systems integrated.
• Collaborate with CFO on cost analysis and financial strategy.
• Oversee vendor relationships and policy compliance.
