Job summary

Thermo Systems in Reston, VA seeks a seasoned Control Systems Project Engineer to lead and mentor teams on complex control projects. You will read piping & instrumentation diagrams, develop HMI/PLC applications, and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System while delivering on schedule and budget.

Responsibilities include designing IT infrastructure for control systems, coordinating with clients, and guiding project tasks from start-up through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related field with relevant technical experience.
• Typically 7+ years total experience.
• Proven track record: 3+ years as Control Systems Project Engineer I or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor co-workers during start-up and commissioning of systems.
• Interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams; provide field feedback.
• Develop HMI and PLC applications; ensure QMS compliance.
• Lead design of IT networks and systems for control integration.
• Communicate effectively with customers and manage project scope and schedule.
