Job summary

Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to lead advanced automation for municipal wastewater facilities. This role focuses on SCADA architecture, PLC control logic, and equipment integration for CIP projects, with emphasis on cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.

The candidate will design, implement, and optimize control systems, mentor technicians, and coordinate with contractors to deliver reliable, safe, and compliant operations at multiple sites

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or related field.
2+ years of experience in control systems for wastewater/public works facilities or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Lead high-level system design and automation strategy for CIP projects.
Oversee integration of new facilities with existing systems and ensure regulatory compliance.
Maintain and troubleshoot SCADA, HMI, and PLC controls in wastewater operations.
Configure and secure industrial networks and cybersecurity measures.
