Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in nuclear plant design (commercial power plant or DOE facility).
• Experience with QA programs such as ASME-NQA-1.
• Knowledge of ISA, ASME, ANSI/IEEE, or European standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel for the project.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for various plant systems.
• Prepares conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals.
• Prepares system design descriptions.
• Specifies instrumentation and control valves and generates instrument data sheets.
• Reviews control systems calculations and designs control logic.
• Allocates facility control system I/O and reviews supplier data.
• Conducts technical presentations related to control systems design.
• Coordinates control systems efforts with other groups and clients.
• Mentor and assist junior team members.
