Job summary

RTX in Huntsville is seeking a Principal Specialist, Contracts to support the Global PATRIOT missile program, coordinating cradle-to-grave contract management with DoD customers and FMS partners. The role requires coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, timely contract execution.

The position involves negotiation of terms and pricing, proposal development, and ensuring adherence to FAR/DFARS guidelines, with travel to key meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Experience with the administration of Contracts (to include proposal activity) governed by Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and/or FAR Supplements such as DFARS, or NASA Supplement, DOE supplement, etc.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and lead status meetings, and draft focused contract letters for official correspondence.
• Support a multifunctional team to manage successful execution of contracts (Program Management, Engineering, Business/Estimating, Supply Chain).
• Research FAR/DFARS and internal Raytheon procedures to propose compliant solutions.
• Manage multiple contracts and complex issues; negotiate Terms and Conditions and pricing proposals.
