Job summary

RTX's Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) unit seeks a Principal Specialist, Contracts to manage DoD/FMS contracts in the Patriot program. You will coordinate with Program Management, Office of General Counsel, and cross-functional teams to ensure contract execution and alignment with policy.

The role requires 5+ years’ experience with US Government contracts under FAR/DFARS, strong negotiation and risk management, and the ability to build trusted relationships with customers.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent with 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience working with US Government contracts under FAR/DFARS.
• Experience in Contracts Administration, Program Management, Finance, Legal, Subcontracts, Supply Chain or Procurement.

Responsibilities

• Provide contract management to meet customer obligations and company objectives.
• Analyze RFPs, develop proposals, negotiate terms and execute contracts.
• Communicate with internal/external customers to influence decisions and resolve issues.
• Guide management on contractual rights/obligations and mitigate risks.
• Some travel may be required (2–4 times per year).
