Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Principal Specialist, Contracts in Tucson, AZ to lead new pursuits and oversee contract execution for a complex NAM program. You will drive proposals, negotiate terms, and coordinate with portfolio directors, engineers, and finance to ensure on-time delivery and compliant contracts.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience; minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years' experience.
• Experience related to contracts management, program management, business management, finance, legal, supply chain processes and/or procurement.
• Experience with contracts, terms and conditions, RFPs, RFQs, FAR, DFARS or similar contracts related experience.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Portfolio Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Finance, and Supply Chain to manage contract execution.
• Identify, mitigate, and drive resolution of contractual issues as they arise.
• Ensure negotiated terms comply with company policies.
• Provide guidance on contractual and business issues, rights and obligations, and risk mitigation.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and internal partners.
• Interface with customers for correspondence, changes, and issues.
