Job summary

RTX, based in Tucson, AZ, seeks a Principal Specialist, Contracts within the Advanced Technology / Advanced Effectors & Space contracts organization. Lead strategic contracting efforts for major pursuits and negotiations, partnering with program leadership to ensure contract performance.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and an onsite work arrangement in Tucson with potential sign-on and relocation support.

Qualifications

Typically requires a university degree and 5+ years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
Experience in contracts management, program management, business management, finance or supply chain.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance (Secret) is required before start; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Lead RFP analysis, proposal development and reviews, negotiations, contract execution and administration.
Contribute to pre-proposal planning, proposal development and program startup.
Partner with Portfolio Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Business/Estimating, and Supply Chain.
Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers.
Identify, mitigate and drive resolution of contractual issues.
Ensure negotiated terms comply with company policies and requirements.
Advise senior leadership on contractual rights, obligations, risks, and mitigation.
Interface with customers regarding correspondence, contract changes and issue resolution.
