Job summary

FB Solutions Group seeks an experienced Manager of Contracts and Risk to lead drafting, redlining, and negotiations of commercial agreements. You will own the contract playbook, manage the contract system, and ensure compliance across operating companies.

The role requires strong negotiation skills, supply chain experience, and the ability to coordinate with sales, procurement, and finance. This position is based in Illinois and involves up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive experience in commercial contracting as a paralegal, contracts manager, or negotiator.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, legal studies, finance, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ownership of redlines and negotiations with tangible outcomes.
• Knowledge of indemnification, liability, warranties, insurance requirements, confidentiality, IP, force majeure, title and risk of loss, and dispute resolution.
• Experience in a supply chain intensive industry (food & beverage, consumer goods, manufacturing).
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to stand firm under time pressure.
• Ownership of a contract management system, records discipline, obligation tracking, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, revise, and redline commercial agreements including MSAs, supply/purchase, co-manufacturing, SOWs, and confidentiality agreements.
• Lead negotiations with customers, suppliers, and other counterparties to drive execution with minimal supervision.
• Own positioning on pricing, liability, insurance requirements, and renewal/termination rights.
• Establish and maintain a contract playbook with standard positions and escalation thresholds.
• Develop and maintain templates and clause libraries reflecting current practice and risk tolerance.
• Escalate novel risk to CFO and outside counsel with a recommended action plan.
• Manage contract management system, approvals, signatures, and obligation tracking.
• Monitor post-execution obligations, renewals, and deadlines; communicate actions ahead of time.
• Propose automation and system enhancements to improve cycle time, visibility, and compliance.
• Support dispute/workstreams by assembling the contractual record and assessing the company position.
