Job summary

Varda Space Industries in El Segundo, CA seeks a Senior Contracts Specialist to own the full lifecycle of government and commercial contracts for orbital manufacturing initiatives. You’ll partner with the Contracts Manager from pre-award strategy through closeout, shaping terms for unique programs in microgravity.

You'll negotiate complex agreements, ensure FAR/DFARS and ITAR/EAR compliance, support proposals, and advise leadership on rights and obligations, including NDAs and partnerships.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of contract management experience with a government focus.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR export controls.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and manage government and commercial contracts.
• Ensure FAR/DFARS and export-control (ITAR/EAR) compliance.
• Support proposals, remove blockers to contract signature, and advise leadership on rights and obligations.
• Draft and review NDAs, customer agreements, and partnerships.
