Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to manage complex contracts within a large, multi-site division. The role involves leading negotiations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders across several sites including Irvine and North Hollywood, CA.

The position emphasizes strategic and tactical contract execution, risk management, and mentorship of junior contract professionals in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline.
• Eight or more years of related experience, including 4 years in leadership and/or project lead role.
• In-depth knowledge of contract management processes, regulations, and export controls.
• Proficient in negotiation, risk management, and identifying high-risk terms.
• Experience leading multiple contracts of varying complexity and scope.
• Ability to mentor and train others within the contracts organization.

Responsibilities

• Manages and is accountable for performance of assigned contracts and programs.
• Leads complex negotiations and coordinates with internal teams; may lead multi-divisional negotiations.
• Provides knowledge of division goals to develop contracts and proposals; supports strategic initiatives.
• Analyzes contractual information and offers formal recommendations to leadership.
• Assesses contractual risk and implements change control processes to mitigate risk.
• Oversees resource planning, effort estimates, and program cost reporting.
• Mentors junior staff and supports training within the contracts group.
• Maintains relations with domestic and international customers and government agencies.
• Researches and develops activities related to international business development as needed.
• Coordinates training and information exchange on contracting requirements.
