Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Contracts Director 2 to influence strategic direction for the Contracts organization within the Weapons Systems Division. The role will lead contract managers and drive the end-to-end contract lifecycle for complex programs across domestic and international customers.

Located in Northridge, CA; Linthicum, MD; or McLean, VA, this position requires expertise in FAR/DFARS, negotiation, compliance, and risk management. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years (or Master’s with 8+) in aerospace/defense contracts.
• Experience leading contract negotiation for complex development or production programs.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and DoD contracting practices (CPFF, CPIF, FFP, T&M, IDIQ, OTA).
• Proven leadership with cross-functional teams and program management partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Contracts organization within Weapons Systems Division.
• Lead the creation, negotiation, and execution of complex contracts and related agreements.
• Serve as the main contractual advisor to division and program leadership on strategy, terms, and risk.
