The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets is seeking a Contract Management Specialist 2 (CMS 2) in Albany, NY to oversee the contract and procurement lifecycle from RFP development to award. Qualifications

• Must be a current Department of Agriculture and Markets employee with one year of permanent, contingent‑permanent, or 55 b/c service as Contract Management Specialist 2, G‑23.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the contract and procurement lifecycle from RFP development to contract award.
• Manage vendor performance and payments; serve as internal expert on contract matters.
• Supervise and develop staff within contract management, purchasing, and accounts payable.
• Develop, revise, and ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and state finance rules.
• Provide regular reporting and analysis of contract specifications and transactions to executive staff.
• Represent the Department on interagency procurement workgroups.
