Job summary

Focus Partners is seeking a Senior Content & SEO Manager who will own the firm's organic search strategy, working with an established content team to drive qualified leads and high-intent traffic across its digital properties. This hybrid role can be based in Chicago or St.

Louis. In this role you will lead on-page and technical SEO, implement AEO practices, strengthen E-E-A-T signals, and collaborate with analytics, compliance, and marketing to align content with search demand and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in SEO or organic search plus digital marketing.
• Strong command of technical SEO fundamentals and on-page optimization.
• Proficiency with SEO and analytics platforms (Semrush, Ahrefs, GSC, GA4).
• Experience with a CMS and marketing automation (HubSpot a plus).
• Excellent writing and editing skills; familiarity with wealth management/financial services is a plus.
• Experience building and presenting an SEO strategy to senior leadership.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-reviewed content processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical SEO including internal linking, page speed, schema markup, and indexation health.
• Develop and execute local SEO strategy across multi-location footprint.
• Partner with content team to inform editorial calendar with search insights.
• Apply AEO practices to grow visibility in AI-driven search results.
• Champion E-E-A-T signals across all content and digital properties.
• Monitor competitor strategies and identify gaps to capture share of voice.
• Direct external agencies and freelancers with scope and budget guidance.
• Interpret organic performance data and advise senior management on investments.
• Work with analytics and CRM teams to ensure accurate tracking of organic leads.
• Partner with compliance and marketing to meet regulatory/brand standards.
• Evaluate emerging content formats and diagnose issues affecting search visibility.
