Job summary

Compound Growth Marketing (CGM) is hiring a Manager to own SEO and AI-search-visibility for 6–12 B2B client accounts. You will lead strategy, planning, and output, including a small team of analysts, while reporting to the Head of SEO.

The role blends technical SEO with content strategy, and involves hands-on leadership and direct client engagement. The position is fully remote with East Coast hours, offering a clear advancement path in a growing practice.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of direct SEO experience.
• 2+ years agency experience.
• Demonstrated national B2B SEO experience.
• Hands-on technical SEO expertise (crawlability, site architecture, schema, page experience).
• Proven track record directing content strategy across multiple clients.
• Fluency with standard SEO tools (Ahrefs/Semrush, GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog).
• Hands-on experience with AI tools like Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, Google AI Studio, AirOps, Profound.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Own SEO and AEO strategy for a portfolio and translate performance data into a prioritized plan for analysts.
• Maintain a forward view of work 3–6 months out and coordinate with project managers on budgets.
• Own content strategy for your portfolio and guide analysts accordingly.
• Own analyst output, set quality bars, and coach analysts for growth.
• Participate in hiring, performance reviews, and promotions in partnership with Head of SEO.
• Define AI-search-visibility strategy across client surfaces and measure AEO progress.
• Monitor performance and present next-step recommendations to clients with the Account Manager.
