Qualifications

• Requires a four-year college degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related major.
• Ten plus years of general banking experience including five to ten years specialized knowledge of finance, risk management, and/or banking.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate end-to-end business processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, scalability, control effectiveness and risk reduction.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual controls and recommend process redesigns that improve customer experience and strengthen the control environment.
• Identify, review, assess, and monitor risks associated with Consumer Banking systems, products and services.
• Design, implement, and maintain risk monitoring and/or control testing programs to proactively identify emerging risks, control weaknesses, adverse trends, and operational vulnerabilities.
• Support the build out and ongoing maintenance of Risk Statements and Risk Mitigation in the Risk and Control Self-Assessments.
• Function as a department liaison to internal/external auditors and regulatory examiners.
• Performs duties as a strategic professional who stays abreast of changes and trends within their field.
• Serve as a liaison to frontline colleagues to provide clarity and training around risk and control activities.
• Support the management of incidents related to unmitigated risks and/or control deficiencies and gaps including investigating root causes, implementing corrective actions, and tracking issue resolution.
• Independently lead and influence stakeholders to achieve timely resolution of risk and control concerns.
• Develop an effective communication strategy to disseminate key information and ensure deliverables are executed promptly.
• Foster collaboration between business units, risk partners, compliance, audit, and operational support functions.
• Partner with line of business leaders to support corrective action plans and evidence management for issue closure.
• Perform ad hoc analysis including regulatory changes and corporate policy review.
